The Plant Transformation Research Center (PTRC) was established in 2002 as part of the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of California Riverside. This state-of-the-art facility provides the infrastructure and expertise for the implementation of molecular biology and genetic engineering technologies for scientific research and teaching purposes. Our staff has extensive experience in working with in vitro plant tissue culture, micropropagation, plant genetic transformation, and molecular biology techniques.
